Just a quick post to remind some tools that allow you to analyze how is distributed the hard drive space.
From time to time you probably run out of space in your hard drive and you need to delete unused data. One option is to browse through the Windows Explorer and check one by one folders and files that can be taking the space of your drive, however there is a better way to visualize all that information.
Some tools that I like are:
- SpaceSniffer: A portable tool application that lets you understand how folders and files are structured on your disks.
- WinDirStat: A disk usage statistics viewer and cleanup tool.
Both tools are free, do not require installation and make use of treemaps to visualize the information.
